WATCH BOX OFFICE MOVIES FOR FREE
Back once it was announced that Will Smith would acquit yourself the infamous Genie from the lamp in boy Ritchie's live-action take on upon Disney's Aladdin, I time-honored the light Prince to maybe voice a character who would be created by CGI, or possibly animation. But again, my expectations were set upon something else, so it took a moment to process that for the live-action Aladdin, Will Smith was going to be... live. I know, it sounds funny to tell it that way. But once he stood near Mena Massoud in scenes, I found it off-putting because Genie always towered greater than Aladdin in the full of life feature:
Still, this movie is not that. From the footage that we saw, boy Ritchie is bringing a bit of Bollywood to Disney's eternal musical, once shiny and shimmering dance sequences that swell numerous dancers breaking out into song. The acquit yourself seemed purposefully exaggerated, once Aladdin bouncing off of awnings around town as he avoided capture. The camera seemed to use the boy Ritchie signature POV shots, and it every had a lot of energy.
And Will Smith's Genie looked once Will Smith. Odd.
Aladdin will be in theaters upon May 24, 2019. That same year, Disney will have a live-action Dumbo, and a live-action The Lion King. whatever outmoded will be new again. The circle of Hollywood life.
