As most of you already know, Disney is knee-deep into delivering alive play in remakes/re-imaginings of many of its classic energetic films. Unless I'm mistaken, Suicide Squad is meant to be a covert, hit squad-type group of people set to take out terrorists and people like that. For me, a film like this would need to be somewhat gritty and serious for it to truly work. Knowing what James Gunn can do, I think he can be able to do it, whilst still making the film his own :-)
